Two teenagers, described as a 17-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, robbed a 68-year-old man selling ice cream and frozen treats on a Mission sidewalk Wednesday, as the Examiner reports. The robbery occurred just before 5 p.m., when the deplorable pair approached the vendor near 22nd and Shotwell and pretended to want some ice cream. But then one of them brandished a "small white handgun" and demanded the old man's cash. He complied, and the two ran off.
The two may very well be the same pair who, twenty minutes earlier, pickpocketed a 32-year-old man at 18th and Mission Streets. He described his assailants as about 20 years old, a male and a female, and one of them pulled out a gun when he tried to chase them down. They got away with his wallet.
Keep your wallets in your front pockets, gents! Crime happens.
