According to a preliminary report from the United States Geological Survey, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.1 struck just six miles from the Napa County town of Yountville Thursday evening.
The USGS reports that the quake, which struck at 7:53 this evening, had a depth of about 5 miles, and had an epicenter about 6 miles east-northeast of Yountville, 9 miles north of Napa, and 14 miles northeast of Sonoma.
As of publication time, no damage or injuries had been reported. So far, according to the USGS's "Did You Feel It?" map, only weak to light shaking was felt in the area of the quake, with few saying they felt anything in the areas near San Francisco. Did you feel anything?
