We have an update on the local deplorable teen beat: A group of three rowdy girls, who were allegedly making a ruckus aboard a 21-Hayes bus Wednesday evening, began physically assaulting a 50-year-old woman as they got off the bus with her after she had told them to quiet down.
As CBS 5's Mark Kelly reports, he was just finishing shooting a report a block away with a cameraman when they heard the shouts at the bus stop at Ninth and Market and trained the camera toward them. On video you can clearly see two of the girls punch and kick the woman, and then run off toward the Civic Center BART station.
Perhaps the funniest detail of this ugly story is that the victim told CBS 5, "I'm strong. I'll be alright. I'm Russian."
