The bomb squad and a bunch of fire trucks and police showed up behind the Old Mint, in front of Blue Bottle coffee. They deployed the bomb-sniffing robot to check out a suspicious package.
Sidebar: Not sure why the Chron's Carla Marinucci needed to note that Blue Bottle Coffee is a "tech fave."
Apparently, as of 3:35 p.m., the situation has cleared, per the SFMTA's Twitter. As the Chronicle reports, the package was a "medium-sized pink suitcase."
This is the second such suspicious package situation after that one that freaked out the Mission on Friday night.
We'll update you if we learn more.
