A shooting this afternoon on eastbound highway 580 in Oakland has left one man wounded and has snarled all eastbound traffic. The incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. and is breaking on ABC 7. The shooting led to a multi-car crash, and reportedly one man is in custody.
It is unclear how grave the victim's injuries are. ABC 7's Alan Wang reports seeing five bullet holes in the car.
CHP Officer Sean Wilkenfeld says that a second suspect may still be at large. The CHP is also reporting that three cars were involved in total.
The incident occurred near the Broadway off-ramp and is certain to make Oaklanders' commutes hairy today as two eastbound lanes remain closed there.
