It takes more than a single home and away uniform to suit the reigning World Series Champion SF Giants! It actually takes five jerseys to outfit our guys in style, the Giants revealed in a recent vine.
The vine, viewable below, features baby-faced Giants second baseman Joe Panik modeling the team's 2015 gray away jerseys, this year's cream colored home jersey, and two different alternate jerseys: an orange one and a new "Black Friday" jersey.
It's the last one that's causing the most excitement, as according to KRON4, the Giants haven't had a black jersey since 2002, when they wore a midnight-shaded topper for away games.
Fansided reports that the black jerseys will make their AT&T Park debut on May 2 (AKA “Metallica Day”), and will be worn "on select dates" throughout the rest of this year.
So far, reactions have been mixed, with Twitter respondents asking where they can buy the Black Friday jerseys (they went on sale this weekend), while commenter jon pyzel took to KRON's website to say (sic throughout) "HATE THE BLACK , what , you guys need more money?"
Well, you can't please everyone all the time.
