Another armed robbery hit Duboce Triangle on Thursday night, the latest in a string of incidents that have neighbors worried about the increase in crime in the area.
Around 9:45 p.m. on Thursday night two suspects approached the 36-year old victim from behind and pulled a handgun on him. They made off with his wallet, cellphone, and two gym bags before taking off on foot, according to the Bay Area Reporter.
The robbery took place on 700 block of 14th Street, near the Safeway. It is only blocks away from the fatal armed robbery that took place back in November. Duboce Triangle has "abruptly taken a turn to violence and drugs," as C.W. Nevius puts it, noting both the Feather Lynn killing from last summer and anecdotal reports from neighbors about increased public drug use and more "shady characters" roaming nearby streets.
The suspects are only described as two black males in their 20s. Anyone with information is asked to call SFPD at (415) 575-4444.
