Skating into their fifth year, local drag queens took to the ice at Union Square last week. Missed it? That's what this gallery is for.
"Donning their most gay apparel," Mutha Chuka, Kylie-Pop, Kim ChiChi, and BeBe Sweetbriar were all there. Special guests included Queen Dilly Dally and Sister Roma. This is 2014, so there was a corporate sponsor: Alaska Airlines.
The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square Presented by Bank of the West (how about that for corporate sponsorship) is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. daily, with 90 minute skating sessions starting every even hour. General Admission is $11, children under eight are $7, and skate rental is $6.
If you're hankering for more action on the ice, New Year's day will see the 3rd Annual Polar Bear Skate (in bathing suits).
