Remember this case of the woman clearly caught on camera burglarizing an office in SoMa multiple times back in July? Frustrated by the fact that all his efforts to publicize her image on blogs like this one and social media had failed, BuildZoom co-founder David Petersen, whose office was burglarized, decided to try posting the woman's image in Tinder with information about the crime. Two days later he got an email identifying her.

As he tells NBC Bay Area, he's hoping that the positive ID leads to a quick arrest, though it's not yet clear if police have made an arrest a week after he gave them her name. She has not been publicly identified as a suspect in the case.

SFist reached out to the SFPD for an update today to see if they've been able to make an arrest, but they have not yet gotten back. As of yesterday afternoon they had not made an arrest, according to the SF Business Times.

The picture Petersen posted to the popular swipe-right-if-you-like-me dating app showed a surveillance-camera image of the woman's face with the message "I rob offices in SF, $5,000 reward for identifying me," along with a company email address. "Within two days someone e-mailed me a name and a picture," he said. Tinder, which is connected to Facebook, should be able to lead investigators to the woman, who looks to be a suspect in multiple burglaries. BuildZoom alone was robbed of some $30,000 in computer equipment, and the woman appeared to have gained access to the office, and possibly others, using a universal key code for DoorKing/DKS access systems.

Just for fun, here's the video of her committing one of the crimes again.
