It was a tough Monday night for two San Francisco men, who were stabbed in separate incidents about 20 minutes and a little more than four miles apart.

At about 6:20 p.m. Monday, a man was found stabbed on the 2000 block of Market Street, which is between Duboce Street and Valencia Street.

According to the victim, a 38-year-old man, the suspect stabbed him in the shoulder then ran away. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that aren't considered life-threatening.

The suspect, described only as a 50-year-old man, remains at large, police say.

Then at 6:41 p.m., a 49-year-old man was discovered on the 200 block of Jennings Street in the Bayview suffering from a stab wound to his torso, police say.

He, too, was taken to SF General with non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the victim was "uncooperative," so their attempt to determine a suspect or the story behind the stabbing has been unsuccessful.
