Do you have a baby you wipe? Do you tote wipes for another purpose (I'm not asking!)? Are you dating Terrence "Baby Wipes" Howard? Then pay attention: a bacteria outbreak in several nationally-distributed brands of the product might make some users very ill.

The Food and Drug Administration has posted a press release from Nutek Disposables saying that several of the brands of wipes that they manufacture have tested positive for a bacteria called Burkholderia cepacia. According to the Center for Disease Control, B. cepacia poses little medical risk to healthy people, but people with weakened immune systems or chronic lung diseases can fall ill from exposure. Even more worrisome, the bacteria is often resistant to common antibiotics, making it harder to fight.

Nutek says the following brands of wipes might be at risk: Cuties, Diapers.com, Femtex, Fred's, Kidgets, Member's Mark, Simply Right, Sunny Smiles, Tender Touch, and Well Beginnings. They were sold at Walgreens, Sam's Club, Family Dollar, Fred's, and Diapers.com prior to October 21 of this year. If you believe yours might fall under the recall, you can return it from wherever you bought it for a full refund, or call the company at 1-855-646-4351, Monday through Friday, 10 AM - 4 PM EDT.

But if you're dating Terrence "women are unclean" Howard? Well, we can't help you with that one.
