One of the last bastions of cheap eats in the Mission besides taquerias and Indian, Sunflower at 16th and Valencia, is mysteriously "closed until further notice," as Eater reports, and this is not good.
Typically in the case of health-department shutdowns, there would be a mandatory public notice posted, but in this case the sign on the door just says they're closed and "sorry for the inconvenience." Also, Eater reached out to their Potrero location and they wouldn't comment.
Has the charmingly divey but always dependable Vietnamese spot really given up the ghost in the face of rising rents? Stay tuned. Updates as warranted.
