Before Amy and Joe kick open the doors of Marla Bakery in the Outer Richmond — Marla Bakery is well known for their savory turnovers, among other baked finery; so good they landed a coveted spot on SFist's Top 10 Pastries in San Francisco list — the pair will hold a final dinner at Marla Bakery Kitchen Communal in the Mission.
Joined by Jason Wood (chef of Maysville Food & Bourbon in New York City) and Chris Deegan and Emiliana Puyana (wine director and chef de cuisine, respectively, of Marla Bakery), Marla Bakery will hold a farewell dinner decorated with springtime touches. A couple of choice items on Sunday's menu are Rabbit & Hay Smoked Gnocchi (with sugar snap peas, mushrooms, wood sorrel, and carrot broth) and Goat Meatball & Farro Risotto ( boasting braised fava beans and a fennel salad).
