A man suspected of driving under the influence lost control of his BMW SUV at around 3:30 this morning as he came around the bend in front of the historic Cliff House restaurant. He ended up jumping the curb, plowing over a signpost, crashing into a parked pickup truck and a planter and taking a "chunk" out of the building, as KTVU reports.
The scene, amidst last night's rain storm, featured a bunch of smashed and full bottles of Stella Artois littering the sidewalk, and witnesses say the driver appeared "very drunk."
He was carted away in an ambulance and charged on suspicion of a DUI.
The car was being towed away around 6 a.m., as CBS reports.
