The couple behind Noe Valley's beloved Sardinian spot La Ciccia, chef Massimiliano Conti and Lorella Degan have just softly opened La Nebbia (translation: "the fog") nearby at 1781 Church Street. As Tablehopper reports, it's an enoteca, prosciutteria, and lasagneria, with a concise and casual food menu, and a focused wine list consisting of food-friendly glasses and bottles.
The opening menu is here, which you'll see has several cheeses and ten hams to choose from, plus a couple of pastas, lasagnas, and two pizzas: one with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh mozzarella; and one with just mozzarella, gorgonzola, and lemon zest. Also: meatballs.
The bright yellow interior has a plain marble bar and counter that seats about 12, a few private tables, and a communal table.
Daily service begins tonight, with hours 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. nightly, and 11 p.m. on Saturdays. La Nebbia will be closed Mondays. And seating is first-come, first-serve.
