Gunfire erupted Monday afternoon on Market and Jones following fisticuffs in the street.
According to CBS SF, "At 1:33 p.m., police began receiving 911 calls from people reporting shots fired in the area," adding that "an employee at 3 Potato 4, located at 1051 Market St., said he saw a man clutching his torso who appeared to be injured."
The victim later collapsed in front of the SF AIDS Foundation. He was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated for injures.
The Chronicle goes on to point out, "The gunfire left at least one bullet hole in the wall of a check-cashing store, and a block of Jones Street was shut down while police investigated the crime."
Oh, and no arrests were made.
