Service resumed to normal this morning after a three-hour delay as police investigated a death on the tracks at the El Cerrito del Norte BART station.

"Police would not say if the dead person was a man or woman or if the death was an accident or suicide," reports Oakland Tribune. "Service was halted through the station about 5:17 a.m. and resumed full operation just after 8 a.m."

According to The Chronicle, "The victim was killed around 5:15 a.m."

The closure caused delays systemwide.
