Two separate shootings near Civic Center Sunday evening both happened dangerously close to the LGBT Pride festivities, just as they were winding down. One shooting left two men injured.

The first incident occurred, with multiple shots fired, around 6:35 p.m. near Larkin and Grove streets in the heart of what had been the Pride celebrations earlier in the day. Two men suffered gunshot wounds to the leg, and it's unclear whether they were the intended targets. A black male suspect in a black hoodie is still at large.

The second shooting happened a few blocks away at Leavenworth and McAllister streets around 8:30 p.m. No one was injured there, but four assailants led police on a transbay chase that ended with their car smashing through the wall of a church in West Oakland.
