We learned of George Lucas's engagement to high-powered Chicago finance gal Mellody Hobson back in January, and on Saturday the two were wed at a small ceremony at Skywalker Ranch attended by everyone from Spielberg to Ron Howard.

One photo has emerged from the ceremony, which the HuffPo has, and we get this amusing description of the proceedings, which were officiated by journalist and ordained minister Bill Moyers:

Lucas' longtime friend and collaborator Steven Spielberg gave the toast from the groom's side, joking that The Force finally had a name: Mellody. John W. Rogers, Hobson's fellow executive at Ariel Investments, spoke on behalf of the bride. And director Francis Ford Coppola read a poem by Maya Angelou.

Ron Howard tweeted the following from the party: "George Lucas Melody Hobson wedding was joy to behold Bill Moyers service was beautiful, nothing short of profound. Congrats Mr&Mrs Lucas"

Performing at the reception were Van Morrison, who was flown in from Ireland, and Janelle Monae.

And we bet the food was amazing, and all the gift bags had cash in them.
