It was a bad, bad day for BART passengers and especially for two individuals killed in separate incidents on Tuesday. First, the death of an unidentified person on the tracks at Colma around 9 a.m. closed the station for hours. Then, at 4:18 p.m, a man in his 40's jumped in front of a BART train at Hayward station.
It took rescuers over an hour to move the train and reach the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The station resumed full service at 7:06 p.m., but not before stranding rush hour passengers for hours.
My poor friend watched the guy commit suicide today at Hayward Bart. We shldnt have to see such horror and pain.
