The internet is atwitter today with word that 2 Chainz (aka Tauheed Epps), a rapper in town for KMEL's Summer Jam, was robbed at gunpoint in downtown S.F. on Sunday afternoon. TMZ reported that a surveillance video reviewed by police shows that Chainz was the intended target, although he was walking with about a dozen members of his entourage.

It all went down on the 800 block of Howard Street at about 4:30 p.m. The group was allegedly approached by a Hispanic man who fired a gun and caused the group to scatter. Despite initial reports, police on Monday said that 2 Chainz was not the end victim, although he was present. Radio.com reports that a member of the entourage fell to the ground while others ran, and that he was approached by the suspect and robbed of unknown items.

According to police, all involved were "very uncooperative" and say they want to handle matters themselves. The rapper's twitter was quiet about the incident until late Monday morning, when he tweeted in reference to it.
