On April 19, a Wells Fargo in the Inner Sunset, on Irving between 8th and 9th Avenues, was robbed by three masked, armed men. They did the usual thing of making everyone get on the floor before making off with some cash. On Monday, it happened again on the same block, and this time the perpetrator was a man in his 40s or 50s.
As the Examiner reports, the man demanded cash from a teller at the Citibank at 701 Irving Street while simulating a gun in his pocket. The teller refused, and then the man just reached over, grabbed some cash from the drawer, and fled. He's described as African American, and he was dressed in all black with a hoodie and sunglasses.
Here's hoping they now invest in some glass partitions.
It's not known if there's any connection to the earlier robbery just a few doors down.
There's also no word on whether this could be connected with the Ugg Boot Bandit who failed to rob a couple of banks in the Financial District back in January.
