The driver of a Nissan minivan apparently lost their brakes this afternoon just below San Francisco's car commercial vistas on Twin Peaks Boulevard. The minivan would have gone barreling all the way into Cole Valley, had it not crashed into a tree and spun out into the side of a home on Clarendon Avenue.
Three adults were in the van coming down the hill around 10:20 a.m. this morning when the driver noticed her brakes weren't working. Although neither the driver nor the passenges were hurt in the crash, the van did put a sizable hole in the home's garage and damaged an Aston Martin parked inside. The van's driver was taken to the hospital, just to be safe.
