Tomorrow is April 20th, when suburban stoners across the country will celebrate that time some plucky teens from Marin set out in search of a lost weed treasure. Nowadays International Cannabis Culture day is little more than an excuse for college kids in Colorado to gather in a field and get high while staring at their own cloud of weed smoke. In San Francisco, this means even casual marijuana users will probably want to avoid Hippie Hill, where a sudden flood of people from Livermore with cool cars will gather to spend the afternoon tomorrow. Instead, try one of these four recommended events. Which can be enjoyed in any state of mind, really:

4/20 Rolling Class at Workshop
If you have no idea how to roll loose items into a smokeable, cylindrical form, you'll probably just embarrass yourself at Hippie Hill anyway. Maybe you want to impress your friends, maybe you just want to look cool rolling loose American Spirits at the bar, or maybe you want to trying and make the crucifix joint from Pineapple Express — no judgement here — this class will help you figure all that out. You'll also leave the class with a bunch of papers and your very own DIY MacGuyver pipe made from reclaimed wood and/or fruit. (Let us stress that no marijuana usage is implied here.)
$42
2 p.m. - 4:20 p.m.

4.20 Meat Up
Skip the grass and get high on 20 kinds of sausage from the people who brought you Forage SF's underground markets. (That's: four meats, five herb fillings, get it?) Or come high anyway, you might need the appetite. In case you're paranoid: there will be booze and vegetables. (Although we still wouldn't recommend it to a vegan.)
$35
7 - 11 p.m.
1417 15th Street (at Folsom)

Ferry Building Goat Festival
Sausage not doing it for you? Need something more veggie-friendly? Try CUESA's celebration of all things goat-related at the Ferry Building. Because goats are both adorable and delicious, there will be a baby goat petting zoo for the kids in the morning and goat milk product samples well into the afternoon. (You've already been spared the goat sacrifice butchery workshop thursday night.)
Free

U.C. Berkeley Rube Golderg Machine Competition
As part of Cal Day, Berkeley engineering students will build comically involved, laboriously contrived and always mesmerizing devices that complete a simple task. (Hammering a nail, in this case.) If you find yourself too afflicted with couch lock to make the BART trip over there, you can always just watch an unlimited number of Rube Golderg videos on YouTube.
Free
