Two boys, ages 12 and 13, were robbed by a gang of older teen dudes in the Bayview during after school time yesterday afternoon. The two youngsters were walking on Keith Street near Quesada about a block from the Bayview Library around 4:15 p.m., when they were approached by a teen gang of five suspects thought to be around 16 or 17 years old.

The gang's apparent leader, who was seen wearing a cool Hollister sweatshirt and black pants, robbed one of the younger boys of his MP3 player. As a former youngster himself, your SFist associate editor recognizes the importance of portable music to someone about to enter the tumultuous time known as "high school." Bay City News reports no one was injured in the incident, not even an atomic wedgie went down.

If anyone in the Bayview spots a 16 or 17 year old boy, about 6-feet tall, 160 lbs with short, black hair listening to a 13-year-old's music selections — you are encouraged to tattle via anonymous tip to SFPD's tipline at (415) 575-4444 or be a cool kid about it and text your tip to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
