After 2013 started off with a knife-involved homicide, the following ten days have seen a number of stabbings and slashings across town. Picking up where we left off with last year and catching up on a couple days of crime reports, here's a blotter roundup of recent knife crime in the city.
The most disturbing was an incident Monday, January 7th in which a cracky man in the Tenderloin attacked a woman for refusing to give him a blowjob. The attack happened around 11:25 p.m. Monday night as the 33-year-old woman was walking on Ellis Street near Jones on here way home to her Tenderloin apartment.
According to the Examiner, the man demanded the victim go down on him in exchange for crack cocaine. When she turned down the offer, he slashed her across the cheek with a small "Swiss army-size knife" and stabbed her in the arm with a sharp pick. Thankfully, the woman was able to flee home to her apartment and call the cops. her injuries were not considered life threatening, but the suspect was gone by the time the police arrived. He is described as a bald black male in his 30s or 40s, 5-foot-7 and 190 pounds. He was reportedly wearing a black T-shirt, and faded "FUBU" jeans.
On Wednesday, January 9th around 3 a.m., a man was found suffering from multiple stab wounds on Connecticut Street near Wisconsin Street in Potrero Hill. The 49-year-old victim was in stable condition after being treated for serious injuries at S.F. General Hospital. No suspects have been identified in the incident and it occurred about an hour and a half after a 53-year-old man was shot in the foot while exiting a car a block away at 25th and Connecticut.
Last Sunday, January 6th a 26-year-old victim also ended up in the hospital with stab wounds to his torso and arm after he got into a fight with four suspects at 21st and Folsom Streets in the Mission. All four suspects are believed to be men between 20 and 30 years old, but none had been found as of earlier this week.
