As dungeness crab is still very much in season, Oakland chef Russ Moore of Camino on Grand Avenue will continue firing up locally caught crustaceans on his nine-foot-wide wood-fired grill every Monday throughout January. Although the menu changes weekly, the three-course prix fixe menu is always an inventive take on the spindly sea creatures that won't leave you covered in shell shards and sticky with butter.

A crab bisque with pickled chiles starts of this week's $36 offering, followed by a main course of half a crab grilled over almond and cherry wood in the fireplace. Chicory salad with wild nettle toast, preserved lemons and walnuts will round out the plate and a boozy, tangerine-mezcal sorbet with citrus and buckwheat cookies finishes things off. While you're at it, pair desert with a spicy and smoky mezcal sour.

If you miss dinner this week, the crab dinners are all roughly the same price every week and continue until the end of the month. Previous menus have included dungeness with grilled cauliflower paired with avocado and kabocha squash salad alongside a New York Sour.
