New Design District showroom and event space The NWBLK (18th and Bryant) is playing host to a New Year's Eve party this year from drag queen bee Juanita More. If you've been in San Francisco for many New Year's Eves, you know it can be tough to find a good party that's not a ridiculous shitshow or annoying ripoff, so allow us to make this recommendation.
Advance tickets are $45 and will include access to a discounted cocktail bar of your choice -- T for tequila, W for whiskey, or V for vodka. Then you'll enjoy $5 drinks all night, as well as late-night eats, free champagne at midnight, performance by Glamamore, music by Black Sheep Music, and dancing until dawn. Proceeds will benefit Folsom Street Events.
If you don't want to pay the surcharge, a limited number of printed tickets are being sold at Sui Generis at 2265 Market Street. And day-of tickets will be $65 at the door.
Think ahead, people. Make a plan and stick to it. You don't want to be hunting for cabs in this town on New Year's Eve.
