One partygoer is in the hospital with a critical gunshot wound to the head after an altercation in the parking lot outside of a Halloween Party at Fort Mason last weekend. According to the SFPD's report, the 30-year-old suspect inappropriately touched the 21-year-old victim's girlfriend as they were leaving the party. When the victim called him out for the gross pass, the suspect went to his car, pulled out handgun from the trunk and opened fire in the parking lot.
The victim was shot in the head while trying to take cover under a car. Bay City News reports he was later taken to S.F. General Hospital to be treated for life threatening injuries.
The suspect, who has been identified as Hun Saelee of San Leandro and was reportedly dressed in "camouflage-style clothing" for Halloween, hopped into his white import Acura* with his 26-year-old girlfriend and fled back to the East Bay.
The next morning, SFPD and San Leandro police traced the suspect to a house in San Leandro where they found him still wearing his camo costume. A handgun was found on the floor of the suspect's vehicle, which police found parked right outside.
Saelee and his girlfriend were charged with attempted homicide and various weapons, assault, and accessory violations. They are currently in custody and no one else was injured in the Halloween shooting. A quick search for "Fort Mason Halloween 2012" reveals the theme of the party that night was "A True Blood Halloween 3."
