Over this past weekend when absolutely everything was happening all at once in San Francisco, it's no surprise that ridership on BART broke an all-time record. 319,484 people rode BART on Saturday, breaking the previous record of 287,586 set September 1, 2007 when the Bay Bridge was closed and there were three big sporting events in town.

Compare that to an average Saturday over the past year when BART typically sees about 202,000 riders descending on the city.

Numbers for Sunday don't appear to be in yet, but we're sure those were huge as well, with Castro Street Fair going on along with the weekend-long playoffs at AT&T Park, America's Cup regatta, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the Blue Angels, the 49ers, the UNIQLO opening, and every other thing happening.

Luckily, most of those people went back home. But we're sure some stragglers remain passed out in public restrooms or slumped over bars that opened at 6 a.m.
