Following on the heels of other social media platforms' looks (read: Facebook, Google+), Twitter rolled out a new photo header for your profile today. "Upload an all-new header photo on mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android or twitter.com, and the same image will appear whenever anyone views your profile on the web or these apps," the company said on their official blog. "You can upload your header photo, which appears above your Tweets, to express yourself instantly, anywhere."

To change add a new, larger header, simply go to Design in your Settings menu, then upload your new photo.

Noting the similarities to Facebook and Google+, PC World, who unfairly described Twitter's new-look profile as "meh," reports, "The micro-blogging site appears to be pursuing the cleaner, more user-centric and visually oriented ethos of those services." The new header was revealed this morning by the tech savvy talking heads over at the Today Show, showing off the new profiles of Ryan Seacrest (featuring the fun-size host sandwiched between new American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj), Al Roker (boasting a humor-free weather map of America), and Matt Lauer (he's still bald). Ann Curry, who was booted from the NBC morning gabfest, has yet to change her profile accordingly. Alas.
