All but two lanes on the lower deck of the Bay Bridge are open this morning (upper deck is also a mess) after a shooting prompted the closure. According to SF Appeal, 'Sporadic lane closures on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge could last until 10:30 a.m. today as officers investigate a shooting incident there, according to the California Highway Patrol."
Cops first showed up at the scene at 2 am (!) when, according to the Chronicle, they "were pursuing a car across the bridge when the car stopped just past Yerba Buena Island and shots were fired." No word yet who fired the shots or if anyone was injured, which is fine the investigation is taking so long, but we'll update as soon as we know more.
If you need to use the Bay Bridge, use an alternate bridge.
