An 11-year-old boy had his after-school skateboard session completely ruined by a gun-toting youth and his friends last Friday. The kid had been hanging out with his skateboard near the intersection of Leland Avenue and Peabody Street in Visitacion Valley around 4 p.m. when a juvenile suspect approached him along with three others and pulled a gun on him. The four youths chased the poor kid as he tried to run, took his skateboard and fled the scene.
No injuries were reported in the incident and the young victim was fine, except for the part where another kid with a gun just ruined any dreams he might have had about becoming a professional skateboarder. The four suspects had not been found as of Monday, but anyone who might know the whereabouts of the missing skateboard, or the jerks with the gun is encouraged to call SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or via text to TIP411.
