While most of us were observing the 75th Anniversary of the Golden Gate Bridge by swigging cocktails and watching fireworks, two unlucky men were busy getting stabbed in a fight near Aquatic Park on the northern waterfront. The two victims, men aged 30 and 31, became the latest victims of the 2012 knife crime epidemic when they got in to a fight with a third person while the fireworks extravaganza lit their brawl from above around 9:40 p.m. Sunday night.
The wounds weren't so bad, apparently. Neither man noticed the cuts to their torsos until the fight broke up. (Because who really wants to fight while there are fireworks we could be watching?) Both men were treated for the non-life threatening cuts at San Francisco General Hospital. Their assailant, meanwhile, had not been arrested as of Monday morning.
