A 42-year-old man became the latest victim of 2012's wave of knife crime after exiting a 14-Mission bus after 1 a.m. Tuesday morning. The victim was reportedly harassed by four suspects on the bus who asked for the man's gang affiliation. When the man got off the bus at 26th and Mission, the suspects followed him, punched him and then stabbed him in the chest.

The victim managed to walk himself to St. Luke's Hospital, who transferred him to SF General to be treated. His wounds were not considered life threatening. The perps, all believed to be in their twenties and suspected of being in a gang themselves, had not been found as of yesterday evening.

Earlier this week, in another part of the Mission on Monday night, a 19-year-old victim was mugged at knifepoint by two young suspects who went through his pockets before punching him in the eye.

Anyone with additional information on either incident should call SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or via text to TIP411.
