An 18-year-old girl riding riding the 49 bus on Mission near Bernal Heights had her face slashed Wednesday evening by one of four assailants, described as two men and two women in their late teens or early 20s, all Hispanic.
The four suspects approached the victim, who is also Hispanic, around 5:45 p.m. last night and asked her a question regarding her gang affiliation. She responded that she was not part of a gang, and then one of the male suspects slashed her across the face with a knife.
The four fled the scene and have not been found. According to Sergeant Daryl Fong at the SFPD, an earlier report by Bay City News incorrectly stated that there were only three suspects.
The victim was taken to the hospital to be treated for her wounds. As always, anonymous tips are welcome at (415) 575-4444 or by text at TIP411
