FILM: The new documentary, Hit So Hard, which opens tonight at the Roxie, tells the true story of the "hell-and-back" life of Patty Schemel, the openly gay, hard-hitting drummer of Courtney Love's band Hole during its peak years. Schemel and fellow Hole member Eric Erlandson will introduce both of tonight's screenings, and there will be a Q&A after the 7:15 show. (7:15 and 9:30 p.m., Roxie Theater, 3117 16th Street)
POETRY: The annual Youth Speaks Teen Poetry Slam, which launched in 1997 as the first poetry slam for teenagers in the country, features the top performers out of hundreds of young writers, emcees, and performers from throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. ART: Celebrate the Inner Sunset at its second Art Crawl, the first of which was hugely successful, featuring art, film, music, food, and much more. (6 to 10 p.m., around the 9th & Irving intersection)
