An outbound flight from SFO to London was forced to land shortly after takeoff last night after it was struck by a bolt of lightning. That storm wasn't playin' around!
The United plane landed safely shortly after 9 p.m. and no one was injured, but you can bet they were mighty freaked out.
We are also hearing reports of United flights getting variously delayed and effed up today because of last night's weather, not to mention more impending thunder and lightning tonight.
