MUSIC: Sonic Youth founding member Lee Ranaldo celebrates the release of his first song-oriented studio album, Between The Times And The Tides, with an early set at Amoeba, followed by a show at Brick & Mortar. The album features Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley on drums, Wilco’s Nels Cline and Alan Licht on guitar, and John Medeski on keyboards, along with cameos from former Sonic Youth cohorts, drummer Bob Bert and producer/instrumentalist Jim O’Rourke. ART: Stroll the super cool Panhandle/Western Addition neighborhood at the Divisadero Art Walk, featuring art shows, designers, food, drinks, culture, and music. The Independent also plays host to the Indie Mart Bazaar full of "very local" makers, artists, creatives, foodies, and more, along with DIY activities by The Wigg Party & Workshop. FOOD: Head over to opening day of the Mission Community Market and acquire some fixins' for that yuppie artisan burger.
