A male victim landed in the hospital late last night after being stabbed at the foot of Market Street. The stabbing was reported around 11 p.m. last night and occurred either near the Ferry Building, a bocce court or the Occupy camp at 101 Market, depending on how you want to spin the stabbing that rounded out what seems like one of the most violent weekends in recent memory.

According to the Examiner, the stabbing was the end result of an argument and some friends drove the 28-year-old victim to SF General where he was treated for life-threatening injuries. Police have yet to make an arrest.

Update: In a late update, the Examiner is now reporting that the victim was, in fact, part of the revived OccupySF camp at 101 Market Street. According to a witnesses, the suspect, an man in his early 20s, had been hanging around the camp for around a week, claiming to be in charge of the most recent protest site. The argument started when the suspect accused the victim of stealing his camera. The victim is expected to survive.
