San Francisco Police are on the lookout for three hair weave thieves who knocked off a Sally Beauty Supply on Geary Boulevard yesterday evening. According to the Bay City News report on the matter, the four thieves entered the discount beauty supply store around 6:30 p.m. last night, surrounded the hair weave display and cut off the hair extensions with a box cutter. As they fled the scene with five heads worth of hairy loot, one of the suspects punched an unsuspecting employee on the arm.
Luckily, witnesses were able to get a good look at the suspects' getaway vehicle and police found it nearby at Eddy and Steiner Streets in the Western Addition. (That parking lot at the City Center shopping complex is no joke, and don't even get us started about the traffic patterns around Geary and Masonic.) Inside the car was the apparent mastermind behind the operation: 25-year-old Jade Davis, who was identified by store employees and arrested yesterday evening.
The other three suspects, all of whom are between the ages of 18 and 21, remain at large. Police have security camera footage of the three of them, which they hope will lead them to their suspects. Although there's always a chance they've already disguised their identities with some longer hair by now. The missing hair, which is described as "fairly expensive" has yet to be found.
