A man was shot and killed last night while driving a Bentley in East Oakland, and his car proceeded to roll half a block and collide with at least two other cars head-on, including one containing a family with two children, both of whom were hospitalized with injuries. And if the guy was driving a Bentley in East Oakland, is it a stretch to presume he didn't work at Target?

The murder happened on the 2300 block of 87th Avenue at around 6:20 p.m., and the victim's car plowed over a median and up to the corner of 86th and Bancroft Avenues before coming to a stop. The victim's name has not been released, and we suppose there are a number of possible occupations or other explanations for the Bentley (attractive lease rate, hedge-fund job, sudden Vegas windfall, gun-running), but we're going to assume that this individual was participating in Oakland's underground economy, and we'd also guess this was a pretty high-profile hit.

Update: The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Kelly "King Kellyo" Surrell, and he listed himself on Facebook as CEO and president of itspimpin101.net (Tagline: 'A site to school cats in the right way of the game.'). There is even a female spinoff site called itshoen101. So there you have it, a legitimate occupation. [Chron]
