You may recall the tragic triple homicide of last fall that took place late one Saturday night outside a warehouse party for tattoo enthusiasts in San Leandro. The incident claimed the life of 19-year-old S.F. resident Shanice Kiel, who had been accepted at S.F. State, and two of her friends sitting in an SUV with her at the time. Now four men were charged on Monday with three counts of murder, as well as four counts of attempted murder for other victims injured that night and one who ran away without injury.
Aaron Stewart, 19, Anthony Perry, 21, and Paul Arthur Stevenson III, 20, were all charged with three counts of murder, and all are charged with shooting handguns, while Stanley Turner, 18, of Oakland allegedly provided a handgun to one of the suspects, and he is also charged with all the same counts.
The other two murder victims in the Ford Explorer with Kiel were 16-year-old Lanisha Worthington, and 23-year-old Josh Alfred of Oakland. Also injured and shot at in the SUV were Ryan Gibbs, Ikaneasha Johnson, Erika Brown and Anthony Ewing.
No motive has been revealed, and it was not clear at the time if the gunmen were even guests at the party. More about this case should be unfolding over the coming months.
