Not to get all NPR pledge drive on you, but... listen up: It's safe to say that Veronica Klaus' stints at The Rrazz Room have proved to be some of the most searing, humorous and all-around tight shows we've seen on the cabaret scene. That's putting it lightly. SFist even had the pleasure of interviewing her last year before becoming a rabid fan of her work. And with that, Klaus, an award-winning R&B singer, plans to go back into the studio to record her first album of new material in seven years... with a little help from you.
Studio time, musicians, royalties, mixing, editing, mastering, pressing, post-production promotion, and publicity are all prices expenditures and can add up. But if you donate a few bucks, that'd be swell. $10 gets you a shout-out on her website, $10 get you an autographed photo, and so on and so on. Hey, if you throw down $1,000, you can even get a private concert and two tickets for her show at the Rrazz Room. Lucky you.
So, please, check out her Kickstarter for more details. And donate, if you can. Until then, check out some live footage of Klaus with the Tammy Hall Trio at performing Veronica's original tune "Black Diamond Days."
