Things are remaining rather stabby in San Francisco, as we get reports of several robberies last night, two of which involved people getting stabbed for cash. A 19-year-old was stabbed in the back at Market and 7th Street by three assailants around 8:20 p.m. after he refused to give them cash. Then, as the Ex reports, around 1:30 a.m. a 35-year-old man, just a block away on Sixth Street, got stabbed in the leg after refusing to hand over cash.

Then we have a third armed robbery, around 3 a.m. at 17th and Taraval, in which a 27-year-old was robbed of his cell phone and wallet at gunpoint.

And a fourth incident in which three "ruffians" on Market between 5th and 6th (quite possibly the same three who stabbed the 19-year-old?) assaulted and beat up a guy who refused to hand over cash to them around 2:20 a.m.

Moral of the story, you will not so likely be stabbed/shot/beat up if you hand your shit over. Also, walking near 6th Street after dark is always a dicey proposition, let alone after midnight.

Speaking of, have you noticed the alarming number of knife-involved crimes so far this year? We don't have a precise number, but three of the six the homicides in the city have been stabbings in 2012, there was this incident in Half Moon Bay and this one in the 'Loin. We even had to hunt for a fresh generic stabbing graphic because our other ones are so overused! Anyway...
