MUSIC: L@TE at Berkeley Art Museum/Pacific Film Archive honors the late Julius Eastman (1940-90), who was one of the first composers to convincingly combine rock and house influences with minimalist processes, coprogrammed by composer/musicologist Luciano Chessa, along with Gay Guerilla, featuring an expansive and emotional work on six pianos. (7:30 p.m., BAM/PFA, 2626 Bancroft Way, Berkeley)
BLOCK PARTY: Meatpaper celebrates Issue 16, the “Bones” issue, with BONES: 20th Street Corridor Crawl, a night of art, music, food, and drink, "in the secret (and not so secret) places of the San Francisco Mission District’s 20th Street Corridor." (7 to 11 p.m., 20th Street, between Capp and Florida)
