At least four women were groped last night inside a dorm at San Jose State University "by a man who was roaming the building looking for unlocked doors." Though a keycard is needed to get entry, the suspect (described only as a Hispanic man in his 20s) somehow got in and wandered the halls checking doors until he found unlocked rooms. Ugh, what a pig.
"[T]he university plans to hold a meeting later Friday to review security procedures with the students, remind them to lock their doors, and to discuss what happened," notes SJ Mercury News. "University police are also reviewing surveillance video to determine whether the suspect was caught on camera. If he was, the police will likely show the photos around to the students."
Fortunately, a woman called police at around 3:30 am, prompting campus security to check the entire 10-story building. They were unable to make any arrests.
