The Wal-Mart in San Leandro is apparently the kind of place you want to arrive at armed: Last night the parking lot was the scene of the second shooting in less than a month, with one man getting into some sort of altercation with another man and shooting him in the leg. The victim was supposedly waiting outside for his wife, and according to police he then got in his car and started driving away, at which point the suspect got in his own car and continued shooting.
It's unclear whether police have identified the suspect or gotten anyone in custody yet. We'll update you if we hear more.
This Wal-Mart, as you may recall, was the site of another non-fatal shooting in the wee hours after Thanksgiving, on Black Friday, November 25. The suspected shooter in that case surrendered to police on December 8.
