Fremont, that oft-ignored city to the east, will get its very own Occupy movement starting today at 10 a.m. A march is set to begin at Walnut Avenue and Fremont Boulevard with marchers stopping at area banks "to say a prayer and voice their concerns about the growing gap between rich and poor."
Rev. Jeremy Nickel will lead the gaggle of Occupyists. "I hope people go down to Fremont and see what this movement is about," Nickel told Oakland Tribune, adding, "Apathy is pretty much the number one thing keeping the country from moving in a positive direction."
