A protest underway in Union Square has loads of Occupy SF supporters blocking traffic, drumming loudly, and attempting to occupy stores. Protesters have gathered in the city's tony shopping district to shun Black Friday, the mega-sale day after Thanksgiving. Members are currently blocking the intersection of Post and Stockton and Geary and Stockton.

Occupy SF also plan on stirring up trouble inside department stores like Macy's.

Needless to say, traffic near Union Square will be horrifying. Please avoid the area if you can help it.

Update: No arrests so far. Lots of music and chanting near Saks Fifth Avenue. Seems relatively peaceful.
